It’s so great when you can find a career that you work hard for and then love every minute of! Being an orthodontist lets me hang out with great kids and adults all day long and make a really important impact on their lives through the smiles I help create.
It’s amazing to meet and work with so many unique patients as an orthodontist, because we really get to spend a lot of time together. I love to find out what someone is really into and get them talking about it. I learn from my patients all the time and love watching them gain confidence in their smiles and then go out and use them! I think people sometimes don’t realize the importance of a confident smile, but I get to see every day just what a difference it makes.
As a child, I was always involved in art: drawing, painting, sculpting — I loved it all! Then, in high school, I got braces myself, which sparked my interest in orthodontics. Now I get to use my artistic side to sculpt beautiful smiles for my patients! I attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor for college, dental school, and residency, so after 11 years there, I’m obviously a huge Wolverine fan!
Becoming a board-certified orthodontist was a great learning experience for me and allowed me to analyze and discuss my cases with respected members in the orthodontic community. It helps me maintain a great standard of care for my patients in order to craft a functional and beautiful smile for them!
I get excited about studying and using the newest technology to help make our orthodontic treatment as customized and comfortable as possible. Most notably, our 3D X-ray machine makes a huge difference in diagnosis and treatment planning, and our dental laser helps us make treatment more efficient.

Outside the Office
I grew up in Strongsville — a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio — and now live in the Logan Square neighborhood of Chicago. My husband Nauzad and I met our freshman year of college at the University of Michigan. He is very smart and sweet and a fantastic travel planner! We have a rescue puppy Sebby (Sebastian) who has an underbite, but probably won’t be in our office for braces any time soon!
I love yoga and try to do it at least three times a week. I also enjoy participating in local fundraising events and runs, especially those that we hear about from our patients!
My husband and I are also passionate about good food and healthy eating. We love cooking and make lots of things from scratch. I bake homemade bread and my husband loves to grill and make homemade Indian food. Art, especially painting, is still a creative passion of mine in my spare time.
